Community Spark Builder (Part-Time, Remote)

About the RoleSHE is a symbol of our universally shared origin, affirming dignity, agency, and the right to belong for everyone.

We’re launching a movement rooted in connection, curiosity, creativity, kindness, civic engagement, and critical thinking. We’re looking for a collaborative Community Spark Builder to help create and nurture our online community from the ground up.

You’ll work closely with the founder to shape how we engage with people, respond to conversations, and create initiatives that truly reflect our values. As the community grows and our identity strengthens, your autonomy, responsibilities, and compensation will grow with it.

What You’ll Do
  • Evaluate and prioritize ideas from the founder, assessing resources, challenges, and potential partnerships
  • Coordinate with the founder and stakeholders to turn plans into action
  • Help shape kind, curious community moderation while maintaining healthy boundaries
  • Track sentiment, spot emerging themes, and identify opportunities (analytics experience welcome but not required)
  • Monitor and respond thoughtfully to comments on Instagram, X (Twitter), and Facebook
  • Draft engaging proposals and community initiatives that align with our mission
Schedule & Availability
  • Core collaboration availability window: 1–4 pm EST for direct work with founder
  • Flexible social media engagement: several hours daily within 10 am–9 pm EST
  • Total: 15–25 hours per week
Compensation $28 per hour to start, with increases as responsibilities and revenue grow.

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who brings:
  • Pragmatic creativity: You generate ideas and also think through “How do we actually make this happen?”
  • Balanced perspective: Optimistic yet realistic, comfortable with nuance and complexity
  • Civic-minded spirit: A track record of community contribution or service
  • Intellectual flexibility: Able to engage respectfully across different viewpoints without rigid ideology
  • Collaborative mindset: You thrive working with others while respecting that the founder makes final calls in this early phase
  • Behind-the-scenes drive: Motivated by impact, not spotlight
  • Grounded experience: Significant time living in or deeply engaging with non-American cultures (especially developing countries) or hands-on experience with agriculture/sustainability
Required Skills
  • Strong writing with range across different tones and contexts
  • Basic-to-intermediate comfort with AI tools, Microsoft Office, Instagram, X, and Facebook
  • Ability to work independently with your own computer and excellent judgment
Valued Experience (nice-to-have)
  • Community management or engagement
  • Conflict resolution or mediation
  • Project coordination or event planning
  • Early-stage startups or grassroots initiatives
What We Offer
  • Starting pay of $28 per hour, with clear opportunities for increases tied to growth and expanded responsibilities
  • Clear growth path: evolve into a broader role with events, team oversight, and increased compensation as revenue grows
  • Meaningful work that aligns with values you care about
  • Collaborative culture where your input genuinely shapes our direction
  • Regular feedback (reviews at 30, 60, 90 days, then quarterly)
  • Access to necessary tools and software
Expectations & Culture
This role requires genuine immersion in our values during this formative time. We want a strategic thought partner who is also a reliable hands-on executor; someone who naturally asks “What will this take?” and “Who should we connect with?” as well as “What if we tried this?”

Application Proces
  • A brief cover letter (300–400 words) sharing:
    • One community or civic contribution you’re proud of
    • Why our values resonate with you
    • Your approach to evaluating and prioritizing ideas
    • Your experience with non-American cultures or agriculture/sustainability
  • Your resume (or LinkedIn profile)
  • Two examples of your writing (social posts, emails, blog entries, etc., published or not)
We’re an equal opportunity endeavor and actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds who share our commitment to thoughtful, kind, and curious engagement.
